see, there you go making entries that I feel compelled to copy… although, I made a list of things I’d have in my ideal living quarters a while back (actually think that I mentioned it in an entry) so I just need to fish that notebook up and pull from there… that makes me feel less like a big ole sheepy. =)

Speaking of notebooks, I have this horrible notebook habit. I am probably solely responsible for the destruction of entire forests… I used to use composition notebooks to write down my lists of things to do, things I was thinking about, etc. I have probably over a hundred of these in boxes in the garage and strewn about the house just full of bullshit writing. I do brainstorming on paper, it’s hard to do on a computer for me, and I lose it too quickly if it’s just inside my head. Now however, I’ve taken to more expensive notebooks because they seem to fit me better, help me more… I get them at Barnes and Noble (evil corporate giant that I support, oh well) and they are like 15 bucks a pop (ouch). They have great hard covers (the one I currently use is cork, last one was glossy bright red), have a big easy to deal with spiral binding and are filled with the crispest, thickest, whitest pieces of unlined paper. Things of beauty, they are. And I can write in them with a black sharpie and it doesn’t bleed through. That is my pen of choice (although I’m liking these new gel ink pens, too… nice dark lines and they feel good and have no smell like a sharpie, so slick on paper) There’s just something about taking a completely white piece of paper and marking it with the lines of my mind… doodling, webbing, mapping, etc. I love to go sit outside the new Starbucks (another evil empire I support) near my house and have a steamed almond milk or hot chocolate on a night like tonight and just sit and write all the things I want to get done, all the ideas, goals, future oriented things, lists of things that have some meaning for me… just whatever… it’s so great.

Think I will do that tomorrow.

Oh, and screw me if I didn’t gain 6 farkin’ pounds in NY. Will take me at least a week and a half to get back on track. Damn chocolate croissants, bagels and lox and cream cheese, and cheesy raviolis in thick creamy buttery sauces and latkes fried in the most divine olive oil with the thickest sour cream, and chocolate malts at the comfort diner, and macaroni and cheese with the buttery crumb topping, cheeeeeeesecake! and onion rings as big as my head, and oh krispy kremes!!! and dammit I hate NY for all its wonderful food!!!!
