We just had a little mini hail storm. Good times.

Or is that just for the cold?

It’s 105 here. Again. And it will be tomorrow. I think today was day 33 of triple digit heat. And rain. There is no rain. I know what happens though… the clouds come here, very briefly, to suck every bit of moisture out of the ground and then they move somewhere else that is most definitely not here to dump it.

I’m tired of it.

I’m ready to move to Canadia.

I will write more in a minute… I thought I was ready to sit down and do this, and have discovered that I am not.

There’s no consumable ice in this house.

Why do I have an ice maker? Tell me this… How much bigger a fridge could I have gotten for the price of the non-functioning ice maker?

This was the Valentine’s Day that it snowed like crazy in North Texas… We had such a good time that day. The pictures aren’t great and there are some repeats… but live with it.

I didn’t have a digital camera at the time. I mean, I did, but it was one of those cheesy polaroid jobs that takes a 9 volt.

Seriously.

Well, I’m back in the barrio. Home sweet home.

A whole day off in my home. YAY.

Now that I’m here I get the feeling that I won’t do shit.

I don’t care. It’s just nice to relax sometimes.

I can’t wait to go camping this spring. I hope we don’t go straight from this icy winter straight into 100 degree days. I hope we have at least a few weeks of spring weather.

I just cannot believe this weather. Schools closed for 2 days in a row. This just doesn’t happen here.

I guess I’m glad I wasn’t here all day though… when I got home there was a notice on the door that said they hoped the water would be turned back on by 7pm tonight. I would have been pissed if I’d been stuck here all day with no water.

More later, maybe… I took a nap today, but I’m still tired. I may just lay here watching tv till I fall asleep. I’m that kind of drowsy that makes me scared to get in the tub… I always fall asleep in there when I feel like this.

well, Kim is coming to rescue me from Sheri’s house. Schools are closed again tomorrow which means I don’t have to work again. 2 days off. Can you imagine such a thing? Then next thing you know it’s going to be Friday already! Woohoooo!

I’m glad I’m going to be home for tomorrow’s confinement though. I can get a lot done and spend my downtime porting my old diary entries in here. I’ll be glad to have it all in one spot again and this place is feeling a lot like home.

I’ve said that before, though.
