I have never had a problem with the server down with Vista or WebCT, but now that we have BlackBoard we have more problems than ever. This is worse than any design problem. I have an exam today, but I can't get access to the practice exams. This is the message that I continuously get, and it's been over 24 hours: Safari can’t open the page “https://blackboard.purdue.edu/webct/logon/80560” because the server unexpectedly dropped the connection, which sometimes occurs when the server is busy. I was 5 questions away from finishing my test tonight and they go down. Blackboard has stayed down longer this semester than up.
