I thought I was done with music. In my 20s, I was discouraged that music was all starting to sound the same. All the radio stations that I once loved were full of the same crap day in and day out. It got to a point where I wasn’t even paying attention to the names of the singers or bands any more because one just blended into the next.

But now, I realize that music is still good, that there are new sounds. It’s refreshing. And it’s not on my radio. That stuff still sucks. It’s all on the Internet. Well, a few select places and times on the radio (like All Songs Considered, etc.) are still doing a good job. But mostly, it’s here on the Internet, where I hear music from other countries… or places in this country that aren’t necessarily linked to giant studios… There are so many sounds that I’m enjoying these days.

And it makes me happy. I missed music a lot.
